JALT Award for Early Career Excellence
JALT アーリー・キャリア優秀賞
The Early Career Excellence Award recognizes outstanding contributions to the field of language teaching by individuals within JALT. This award is bestowed annually upon a JALT member who demonstrates an example of excellence early in their career which has a broad impact on and implications for the language teaching field. Nominees for this award likely have up to ten years of experience or are re-entering the field after an extended period, or are recent graduates of degree programs (bachelor’s, master’s, doctoral).

JALT ミッド・キャリア研究者賞(リサーチ部門)
The Mid-Career Scholar Award recognizes outstanding contributions to the field of language teaching or research by individuals within JALT. This award is bestowed annually upon a JALT member who demonstrates an example of excellence in teaching or research midway through their career which has a broad impact on and implications for the language teaching field. Nominees for this award likely have over ten years of experience.
* Note that in 2024, there were two winners of the Mid-Career Scholar Award (Research), and no winners of the Mid-Career Scholar Award (Teaching).

JALT 特別功労賞
The Lifetime Achievement Award recognizes outstanding contributions to the field of language teaching by individuals within JALT. This award is bestowed annually upon a JALT member who has demonstrated excellence in teaching and/or research throughout their career and has a broad impact on and implications for the language teaching field.
