ZPD in March

Next ZPD: Tuesday, March 25th, 2025, 8 PM - 9 PM

Our next ZPD session is taking place on Tuesday, March 25th at 8pm.The amazing PanSIG 2025 conference committee will host the meeting and tell us all about their May event in their dedicated breakout room. PanSIG is an annual conference organized by many of the Special Interest Groups (SIGs) of JALT. PanSIG2025 will be held May 16-18, 2025 at Kanda University of International Studies in Mihama Ward, Chiba City, Chiba Prefecture. To promote our theme this year of Autonomy and Agency, we invited Johnmarshell Reeves and Toshie Agawa as our plenary speakers. We are also adding, for the first time, four workshops on Friday night. These workshops will be hosted by Andrew Tweed and Bryan Buschne, Mayumi Kashiwa, Gregory Glasgow, and Eriko Yamabe. We are also hosting a special Self-Access Learning Center exhibition with 10 SALCs from around Japan to showcase their secrets and success.

JALT's ZPD (Zoom for Professional Development) is a monthly, 1-hour networking event with several themed breakout rooms, including orientation for new and potential JALT members, getting published, teaching online, and more. Please join us for networking, informal chat, and in building a community of practice with JALT members and prospective members.  We'll break up into smaller groups to discuss those topics and, as usual, we will also have an orientation for new officers and new members, tips and best practices in teaching, getting published, Eikawa & ALT Issues, Online teaching, Hybrid teaching, PhDs and more.
