Hello Toyohashi JALT members and friends! Our regular meeting on April 20 will also be our first talkshop of 2025. Chapter talkshops are simple meetings without a presenter where we get together ‘talk shop’ about what we do in our classrooms. It’s a great chance to get to learn more about your fellow JALTers and members of your local teaching community.

For this talkshop we will be discussing assessment in the communicative classroom. Whether you are doing test prep for public or private examinations, tracking student progress in a private language class, or doing regular assessments in primary, secondary, or university contexts, assessment is a huge part of what we do to help our learners form and achieve their language learning goals.
