Literature in Language Teaching

LiLT is aย JALTย (Japanย Association of Language Teaching) SIG (Special Interest Group), formed in 2011 to encourage and promote the use of literature in the language classroom.

We believe that appropriately chosen literature provides authentic content to engage and motivate our language students, providing a ready-made context for learning that is so often lacking in our EFL teaching situation.

We are a relatively small but remarkably busy group. We work hard to do our very best for members, keeping people informed and sharing ideas and opportunities through social media, conferences and events, newsletters, and our annual peer-reviewed Journal.
