Fukuoka JALT usually holds meetings on Saturday evenings from 6 PM. We have been holding in-person (and often hybrid) meetings in Tenjin (a central area of Fukuoka City), but we may be moving to another location from October 2025. Our in-person meetings are often followed by an informal social dinner at a nearby restaurant or bar. Everyone is welcome to join our after-meeting socials, whether they came to the meeting or not.
Founded in 1978, our chapter was originally called the Nishinippon Chapter. In 1995, about one third of the members split off to form the Kitakyushu Chapter, and both chapters have remained very active.
