Using Audio Sofware in the EFL Classroom

An introduction to free, open-source audio editing software, Audacity. Learn how to use this powerful application to record, edit, and export sound files for teaching and other educational purposes, including:
– Classroom listening materials such a dialogues, stories, instructions, etc.
– Listening quizzes and tests
– Student conversations / speeches for student and teacher evaluation
– Listening material for education websites such as Moodle, blogs, and podcasts
– Audio CDs for school produced teaching materials.
To participate in the workshop it is recommended that participants bring a laptop computer (Windows / Mac) with Audacity downloaded and installed. Download it for free at: http://audacityteam.org

This workshop will be for first-time users and beginners. No previous recording or editing experience is required.
