Conference Venue
JALT2010 is taking place at WINC Aichi – the Aichi Industry and Labor Center, in Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture. Located in central Japan, it takes just under one hour to reach Nagoya from Osaka, or a little under two hours from Tokyo, if using the Shinkansen express (“Bullet”) train. The conference venue itself is conveniently located a short distance from Nagoya station.
Nagoya is also serviced by Central Japan International Airport (CENTRAIR) which is approximately 40 minutes by train from Nagoya Station, and the conference venue.
Once you reach Nagoya, to get to the conference venue, exit via the JR Sakura Dori exit or subway exit 5 or 6. Conference staff will be on hand to direct you to WINC. Alternatively, follow the directions below.
Directions from the Shinkansen exit: Walk through the station, toward the subway until you are outside by a curved taxi stand. Follow the curve to the right until you come to a crosswalk. Cross the street. There is a small street between a building with a Prada shop on the first floor and the Toyota building. Walk down that small street one block to WINC Aichi – it will be on the right.
Directions from the Higashiyama line: Get off the subway and take exit 8. Walk up the stairs, do a 180 and walk until you come to a crosswalk. Cross the street. There is a small street between a building with a Prada shop on the first floor and the Toyota building. Walk down that small street one block to WINC Aichi – it will be on the right.
Directions from the Meitetsu and Kintetsu lines: Take the east exits until you are to street level. Look to the left. You will see the Toyota building and a building with a Prada shop. Go the crosswalk in front of them and cross the street. There is a small street between the building with a Prada shop on the first floor and the Toyota building. Walk down that small street one block to WINC Aichi – it will be on the right.
