For me JALT is a great way to meet other teachers from around Japan because I’m based in Tokyo where it’s not so difficult to meet other people, but it’s great when I can meet people from other parts of Japan, like Hiroshima, Okayama, Gunma and Sendai. Absolutely, Sendai. It’s great to be able to do that. I’ve got lots of friends whom I only meet at conferences, and the JALT national is the biggest of the ones in Japan, and therefore it’s something I really love coming to.
