NaraJALT’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) was held in person and online on Sunday, the 19th of October.
The meeting included three items: an amendment to the constitution, Officer reports and the election of new officers.

We amended our constitution to change the informal chapter name of Nara JALT to NaraJALT

This year, two new positions were created: that of Vice President and a new Elections Officer position. With the addition of these two positions and the reelection of officers to existing positions plus the addition of a new Membership Co-Chair, NaraJALT has improved its ability to create events for its members.

The officer positions are now as follows: Chapter President Leigh McDowell, Treasurer Masayuki Takano, Publicity Chair Richard Sharrard, Membership Chair Motoko Teraoka, Program Chair Andy Sowter, Vice-President Eric Martin, Membership Co-Chair Ben Robertson, Election Chair Brian Inglis, Member-at-large Robert Maran, Member-at-large Etsuko Nishi, Member-at-large John Carle, & Member-at-large Michael Lin.

The meeting went smoothly, our membership is strong, our finances are strong and with a strong sense of collaboration, we look forward to organising great events that will being the Nara chapter together.
