Listening practice is an important component in many English classrooms. While many teachers may use a textbook, some may wish to design and implement their own teaching materials for listening, but they may not know exactly what is involved in preparing such resources. In this joint forum between the Listening and Material Writers SIGs, attendees will learn the different aspects of developing appropriate materials for listening practice.

The first part of the forum (60 minutes) will consist of 6 presentations focusing on aspects of listening material design followed by a 30-minute discussion.
