Meetings are open to all, but an admission fee is usually required. JALT membership allows for either reduced or free membership to many of the events. Click on an event title to view full details.

Joining JALT or Renewing Your Membership

Credit Card (VISA & MasterCard) users only

Join JALT or renew your membership using our secure online payment form. Information for other payment options (non-credit card) is available in our membership section.

Note that for membership renewals, your renewal will become effective after your current membership expires. If you renew in advance, you will not lose out on your previous membership period.

Once you have selected your membership options, proceed to the confirmation and payment section.

Thank you for joining JALT or renewing your membership! After clicking on the membership category you can view details, choose options, and add the membership to your "shopping cart". Be sure to check the SIG memberships available as well.

Regular Membership

Regular membership is priced at 10,000 yen and is valid for one year.

5-Year Membership

5-year membership is priced at 40,000 yen.

Joint Membership

2 members, 8,500 yen each: Total membership is 17,000 yen for one year.

Joint members should share the same address, and receive one copy of publications for both members.

Group Membership

Group membership (5 or more members, 6,500 yen each).

The applicant for the group must pay the total membership fee for all group members using this form. One set of publications for every 5 members in the group will be sent to the main applicant.

Please list the group member names, email addresses and JALT membership numbers (if available) in the "order comments" when making your payment.

Student Membership

Student membership (¥6,000): Verification required. Forward documentation to JALT Central Office (Urban Edge Building 5F, 1-37-9 Taito, Taito-ku, Tokyo 110-0016).

SIG Membership

5-year SIG membership is priced at 7,500 yen per SIG.

Please note the following:

The 5-year SIG membership is only available in conjunction with the 5-year JALT membership option.
If you select this option without also choosing the 5-year JALT membership option, you will be given a 1-year SIG membership at the regular, 1,500 yen rate.
Your SIG memberships expire at the same time as your JALT membership.
