Perhaps especially for teachers of English to younger learners, relationships with various other people are often a central part of the job, yet an area that receives little attention and for which teachers may be unprepared. These “other people” include other teachers, administrators, and parents, as well as the learners themselves. Three experienced teachers of younger learners, from babies to high school students, will provide valuable insights into making these relationships successful for everyone involved.
