——————————————— Abstract: 
Effective learning strategies exist. These strategies, although well known in the field of cognitive psychology, are hardly mentioned in teaching training materials. Because some of the strategies are counter-intuitive, they are not easily discovered by chance or experience.
This presentation will cover the strategies and provide ample opportunities for participants to both experience studying using the strategies as well as to explore ways that the strategies could be used to meet their own personal and professional needs.
概要：
効果的な学習方略、というのは実際に存在します。 これらの学習方略は、認知心理学の分野ではよく知られていますが、教授法についての教材の中ではほとんど言及されることがありません。 また、それらの中には直感に反するものもあるため、偶然や経験によって容易に発見されることもないのです。 
今回のプレゼンテーションではいくつかの学習方略を取り上げ、参加者がそれらの学習方略を使って学習を体験すると同時に、それぞれのニーズを満たす方向性を探る機会を提供します。
———————————————Presenter’s Bio Data: 
Jason is currently a lecturer at Fukuyama University; however, he has also taught extensively in the Japanese public school system. His research interests include the study of effective learning strategies, and methods for improving student attention and engagement. He is also the current president of the Okayama chapter of JALT.
発表者の略歴： 
現在、福山大学講師。 日本の公立学校制度において、さまざまな学習者を対象に教えてきた経験を持つ。専門とする 研究分野は、効果的な学習方略の研究、生徒の注意と関心を高めるための方法の研究。 JALT岡山支部支部長。
