As we move further into a busy month here in Hiroshima with the G7, we have our May Monthly Meeting to Look forward to. During this event we wish to share varying viewpoints on the teaching of English, and Spanish, as well as share a general overview about the teaching and learning of other languages.

The first talk from Monika Szirmai entitled, “Other Language Educators in Japan”, will be about the OLE SIG, its events, and the problems the SIG and practising language teachers have been facing. She will also talk about the online Multilingual Cafe.

The second talk from Minal Zehra, who is giving her first presentation with JALT, is entitled, “Fostering Empathy to inspire language learning in the classroom”. We look forward to hearing her speak.

The third talk from Shaun Wilbraham is about teaching Spanish to Japanese learners. His presentation is entitled, “Teaching my second language to learners of other languages”.
