Hiroshima JALT volunteers heading to Laos this month will showcase some of the group’s presentations, as well as introduce the THT programme and LaoTESOL. First, Simon Capper will lead a talk entitled, “Teaching Culture (and so much more) with PechaKucha presentations.” Then Susan Meiki will speak about “Guiding the Autonomous Mind in Social Learning Spaces.” Katherine Song has a talk called “Benefits of Formal Email Writing Lessons in EFL Classes,” and Monika Szirmai’s presentation is entitled “Low-tech Solutions to High-tech Ideas.” Finally, Fuyuko Takita will speak about “Teaching Culture in University English Classrooms.” For details, see http://hiroshima-jalt.org
