Financial Steering Committee (FSC)

The Financial Steering Committee (FSC) is an advisory committee responsible for producing the JALT budget and considering long-term forecasting policies. FSC meetings take place at or around Executive Board Meetings (EBMs) and online during the budget planning period. JALT members may request to observe FSC meetings at EBMs.

The FSC works on producing the JALT budget from December to February. This culminates in the presentation of the budget to the Executive Board for their approval at the February EBM. The budget is then voted on by all JALT members at the Ordinary General Meeting (OGM) at the time of the June EBM.

The FSC Chair works closely with the Director of Treasury and joins (online) Board of Director (BoD) meetings to provide updates on the financial health of JALT.
