OGM Absentee Ballot for 2021

Balloting period: 31 May – 27 June 2021
Dear JALT Member,
Thank you very much for your membership in JALT and for taking the time to cast your vote by absentee ballot for the Ordinary General Meeting (OGM) of 2021.
What we are voting on: Acceptance of the JALT Annual Reports and the announcement of the NEC election results.
How to vote:

Mark your choice (approve/not approve/abstain from voting) for each item on the agenda.
Check that your name (required), JALT membership number (optional) and Chapter affiliation (optional) appear correctly in the text boxes in the lower part of the ballot.
Add your email address to the ballot if you would like an emailed confirmation of your vote.
Finally, please certify that you are the named voter, and click the “Submit my absentee ballot” button to register your vote (or your abstention from voting).

Please vote!
As we need a majority of JALT members to be at the OGM, and since members are considered present if they submit an absentee ballot, it is very important for you to vote, even if you plan to be at the OGM in person.
Please be aware that while an abstention can help us reach quorum, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government interprets abstentions as “No” votes.
Deadline:
The absentee voting period will end on 27 June 2021 at 12:00 p.m., but please vote as early as you can to help us be assured of having a quorum at the OGM.
