Just as important as the presentations, workshops, and forums is the chance to catch up with colleagues and friends and make new connections. We hope you will attend our social events. Entry is free of charge to all conference participants.

Join us for some music and more conversations with conference participants. In addition to the social event, there will be an awards ceremony to celebrate outstanding presenters and authors who have made exceptional contributions of inspiration and insight to JALT Chapters and SIGs. Light food and beverages will be provided. Additional drinks will be available for purchase.
International Food Fair

When you get hungry during the conference, head to the back of the EME in the Main Hall to enjoy the fifth JALT International Food Fair. Food and beverages will be available for purchase.
There will be Thai food, kebabs, vegetarian-friendly options, and more! This year we have invited two of Shizuoka’s best craft breweries, too. On Saturday, Shizuoka’s Baird Beer will be serving their best craft brews and on Sunday, Aoi Beer from Shizuoka City will do the honors.
All vendors will provide vegetarian options, while Tappuri Kebab will serve halal meat.

Gran Terrace Restaurant
If you would prefer a quieter lunch, the Gran Terrace is located on the 1st floor of Granship. It seats 98 people and offers a variety of western and Japanese dishes.
