2. JALT Seeking Candidates for Two New Officer Positions

These positions require experience, energy, and commitment, but also offer the successful applicants the support and autonomy to do great things.

3. JALT-sponsored speaker at OUP Day
We are pleased to announce our cooperation with OUP and sponsorship of Katherine Thornton of Otemon University as a speaker. Her presentation, “The role of self-access learning in preparing Japanese students for global citizenship” may interest many members. 4. IATEFL Web Conference
IATEFL has decided to hold a second Web Conference in October 2015. Making connections across borders in ELT will be held over two days:
Friday 23 October 2015 at 13.00 GMT-19.45 GMT
Saturday 24 October 2015 at 7.30-14.30 GMT
JALT is an IATEFL affiliate. This may be a convenient way for JALT members to connect with IATEFL members without traveling halfway around the world.
