Special Election Chapter Liaison Representative (CRL) Nominations (Extended)

This is a Special Election for the Chapter Liaison Representative (CRL) ONLY due to Clare Kaneko stepping down to become president-elect for JALT. We thank Clare for her service. Any JALT Member in good standing is eligible to run for this one-year position and then run for re-election for a two-year term in 2023. Thank you for your support of this important process.
Election timeline:

Call for nominations: Oct. 30- Nov. 7
Ballots to be sent out on Nov. 8 and the election to run from Nov. 8-Nov. 11.
Election results will be announced at the EBM at the JALT International Conference, November 11-13.

Below is the description of the Chapter Representative Liaison (CRL) and the SIG Representative Liaison (SRL) REGULAR election information for your reference.
The Chapter Representative Liaison (CRL) and SIG Representative Liaison (SRL) are elected national officer positions for two-year terms. They hold nonvoting positions on the Executive Board but may propose motions to the EBM which are relevant to their field of concern.
Officer Duties:
a) The CRL and SRL shall provide support and administrative assistance to chapter presidents and SIG coordinators, and work for the chapters and SIGs at the national level. – The elections will be held in odd-numbered years and run by the Nominations and Election Committee (NEC).
