Friday not only contains a plethora of professional development opportunities, but it also provides a great chance to socialize and network. Come to the Welcome Party reception; mix and mingle with the people you will have met during the various TnT and PD workshops, also meet people who arrived early for the conference and are looking to make new acquaintances. Meet up with old friends, establish new friendships, make a business contact; start the conference on the right foot and in style.

Join us for some music and more conversations with conference participants. In addition to the social event, there will be an awards ceremony to celebrate outstanding presenters and authors who have made exceptional contributions of inspiration and insight to JALT Chapters and SIGs. Light food and beverages will be provided. Additional drinks will be available for purchase.

EME Café

A cup of Joe, or Earl Grey, hot? This year you can get your morning (or afternoon) caffeine burst from the EME Café located in the EME on the 8th floor. Take a break, and chat with the AMs, your friends, or both! Thanks to the wonderful work of the JALT Environmental Committee, JALT will continue to adhere to an eco-friendly policy with our EME Café. Therefore, coffee and tea will be provided by Fairbeans of Nagoya. Help JALT be green, with Fairbeans!
Restaurants Near WINC Aichi
There is a plethora of places to eat and drink near Nagoya Station, where you can find cuisines and styles to suit all tastes. If you want to stay in the WINC Aichi building, you can find many good restaurants on the B1 floor. Use this map to find your favorite foods.
Two malls and the train station very near WINC offer a host of shops and restaurants for your perusal:
ESCA: A large shopping mall located on the west side of Nagoya station. There are many shops and 30 restaurants to choose from.
Nagoya Station: Nagoya Station has quite a few options for meals. In the station itself, you can find many places to get a quick bite, a fast cup of coffee, or buy omiyage or gifts for your friends and family. In the JR Gate Tower Mall section, connected to the station, there are dozens of restaurants between the 12th and 15th floors.
UniMall: If you prefer to go underground, you can do no better than by visiting the UniMall, underneath Nagoya Station. You can see the latest fashions and take your pick of many different restaurants and cafés.
