Coffee Shop
Running in the EME throughout the conference. The coffee shop has returned this year. Drop in sometime for a coffee, a chat, a boost, or just to relax.
Welcome Party
Friday October 12th 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm Congress Center Room 31
Oxford University Press kicks off the celebrations with Friday night’s Welcome Party. Food, drink, and music will be kindly provided by OUP. If you are arriving early, stop by, say hello, and start your conference off with a friendly chat over a free drink.
Cengage National Geographic Photo Exhibition

Visit our gallery on the 3rd floor of the Congress Center at any time to have a moment to yourself and leave refreshed and inspired. Vote for your favorite images and instantly become eligible to win an international travel voucher worth 50,000 yen.
Attend the Cengage and National Geographic Learning reception on Saturday afternoon to meet our Japan-based photographers and enjoy some complimentary wine and cheese.

Best of JALT
Saturday 13th October 7:15 pm – 9:15 pm Congress Center Room 31
Our premier event, the Best of JALT, will be held on the Saturday night as usual and is sponsored by English Central. This is the party where we celebrate outstanding presenters (and authors) from the JALT local chapters and SIGs. Food, drink, and live music will be provided, so come along, show your support, and celebrate the close of the first big day of the conference with some drinks, conversation, and good times.
Pizza Party

McGraw-Hill are kindly throwing a pizza party for lunch on the Sunday. Whether it’s a late breakfast or an early lunch, drop by for some pizza and another opportunity to meet and mingle.
Cambridge ‘Otsukaresama’ Party

Cambridge University Press invites you to wind down a little on Sunday night. This will be a great final social opportunity engage in some conversation over a free drink, exchange a business-card, or reflect on the conference, before many of us will have to return home.
