Notice of 2023 JALT EOGM

The 2023 JALT Extra Ordinary General Meeting (EOGM) will be held as follows below:

2023年臨時総会開催通知

The reason for an extraordinary OGM is due to NPO laws regarding the registered office address. As JALT’s Tokyo office will relocate and acquire a new address, we need to register this with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government. As the deadline for registering the new office address is before our yearly OGM in June, we are calling an extraordinary OGM to remain NPO compliant.

臨時総会を開催する理由は、登記事務所住所に関するNPO法のためです。JALTの東京事務所が移転し、新しい住所になるため、東京都に登録する必要があります。新住所の登記期限は6月の年次総会以前となり、NPO法遵守のため、臨時総会を開催することになりました。

場所：茨城県つくば市　つくば国際会議場  4階中会議室406 & ZOOMﾊﾞｰﾁｬﾙﾐｰﾃｨﾝｸﾞ (詳細未定)

第2号議案：定款第2条の変更：事務所 / Item 2: Amendment to Article 2 of the Constitution: Office

Note: All JALT members are asked to please vote by absentee ballot to accept the office relocation and the amendment to Article 2 of the Constitution.

Please note that we need at least a quarter of JALT members to vote in order to have a valid EOGM.

• If your membership is current, you will get a message with a link to a personalized ballot. This message will be sent on January 23, 2023.
• If you have any trouble using the link to the personalized ballot, please use the generic ballot (https://jalt.org/eogm-ballot-2023) and fill in your name, chapter and JALT ID (if known) in order to vote.
• If you do not get the message with your personalized ballot, please contact membership-office [at] jalt.org to confirm your membership status.
• The absentee voting period will end on 17 February 2023 at 5:00 p.m, but please vote as early as you can to help us be assured of having a quorum at the EOGM
