Osaka

Osaka JALT aims to provide opportunities for language teachers and anyone interested in language education to share ideas at local face-to-face and online events, in writing in our Osaka JALT Journal, and via our Facebook and Instagram groups. We are directly descended from the Kansai Association of Language Teachers, founded in 1975, which was the precursor of JALT. We hold or co-sponsor several events throughout the year, with our largest one being our spring Back to School conference, which typically draws about a hundred participants. Everyone is welcome to participate regardless of employment or JALT membership status. Please visit our chapter website for more details and to join our email list for periodic updates, and feel free to contact us with any questions or suggestions anytime!
