JALT Gunma Chapter was founded in 1986 and has consistently been one of JALT’s most active chapters since its birth. Gunma JALT is unique for being a rare chapter that publishes its own annual magazine/journal, Speakeasy, and for organizing and hosting its annual Summer Workshop in Kusatsu Onsen. (It was held in Ikaho Onsen from 2016 to 2018.) We usually have meetings face-to-face in Maebashi, which is easy access from neighboring Saitama and Tochigi prefectures.
