Getting Your Ticket for JALT2021 on Edzil.la

Note: In some special cases (plenary, featured, and invited speakers and other sponsored guests) you will receive a complimentary ticket. JALT will be in touch if you fall into this category.

How to redeem a ticket code for payments made before November 11

• The following applies if you made your conference payment here on the JALT website.
• When you paid, you will have received a ticket access code to join the conference on the edzil.la conference website.
• The access code is 6 letters long all in lower-case letters.
• This is called the “redeem code” on the edzil.la site.

The code is included in the order confirmation email message you received from JALT. Look for a message titled “Conference Registration Complete for (NAME)” Note: this message will be sent on completion of your order, so if you have made a post office transfer order, or if your student status needs to be confirmed, the message may take a few days.

You should also be able to check the details of your code online when you are logged in to the JALT website (https://jalt.org) with the account you used to make payment for the conference.

How to get your ticket: Using the code

See the attached PDF file. Once you have the ticket access code, you will be able to join JALT2021 on the edzil.la conference website. Go to https://JALT2021.edzil.la.

If you have joined a conference on edzil.la in the past (e.g., JALT2020, PanSIG 2021, the 2021 JALTCALL conference, Extensive Reading Around the World (ERAW) 2021), you have an account. Click “log in” and enter your account details.

If you do not have an account on edzil.la, click “Start” to create one.

Once you have successfully logged in you should see a list of events. Click the “JALT2021” button.

Follow these steps to receive your ticket (you will need the 6-letter ticket code you received on making payment, as outlined above. NOT your registration ID.):

• On the next page that opens, click on “Ticket”. You should see “Get a ticket” on the next screen. Please click on “Get a ticket”.
• You should see a screen with many prices for tickets. Choose the ticket you purchased. Be sure to choose the ticket that matches the amount you paid. (Note: you do not need to pay anything here. The price listing is just to help confirm your ticket is correct)
• On the next page, you should see a box that says, “input your redeem code”. In the box that says “input your redeem code”, enter the 6-character code you received when you made your conference payment. After entering the code, click “Check Code”.
• You should now be registered. You can now take part in JALT2021.

If there are any problems with your code, you will receive an error message. Make a note of this and contact the JALT office.
