What better way to start the holiday season than considering the importance of respect, caring, communication and purpose in the classroom. Shinshu JALT is pleased to announce Juan Uribe’s workshop on Affective Language Learning, followed by our Christmas Social.

Affective Language Learning
How can language teachers promote student engagement and memorable learning through the integration of emotion, cognition, and language? In this workshop, we will learn, experience, and discuss practical ways through which presence, rapport, communication, and power sharing can create affective and effective learning environments.

This workshop is not only for teachers of young learners as the concepts and strategies have to do with respect, caring, communication, and purpose.
