L2 motivation and Japanese university students: Their interests, future careers, and perceived relevance of English
“In this presentation I will first briefly review past research on second language (L2) motivation, introducing and comparing major theories proposed to date. Then I will explain some of the studies I have conducted on the topic, and will discuss what we as teachers could do to better motivate our students in a typical English as a foreign language (EFL) context.”
