Many university teachers have to teach oral English to large classes (over 40 students) of non-specialist students. This presents many challenges:　choice　of　materials,　classroom　management, evaluation policy and others. Three teachers, two American and one British, from Aichi Gakuin University, Nagoya, explain the strategies they have developed over more than ten years of teaching in this situation.
