Title: A Student-Centered Classroom Makes Learners Positive and Motivated

• Abstract: How can we help students improve their ability to use English? In this session, we will explore teaching methods that support second language acquisition. Participants will experience firsthand how to teach grammar through communication. Together, we will discuss strategies to increase student motivation and encourage active engagement in English activities.
• Speaker Bio: Yoko Takano has been teaching English for 29 years at her own school in Nagoya. She holds an MA in TESOL from Nagoya University of Foreign Studies (NUFS) and a TESOL certificate from Hawaii Pacific University. She currently teaches grammar, reading, writing, and TOEIC at NUFS, Nanzan University, and Meijo University.

Title: Some Simple Activities Using Google Workspace

• Abstract: Digital tools don’t have to be complicated to be effective. Wayne will share a variety of practical communication activities he uses with Google Workspace to enhance the language-learning experience.
• Speaker Bio: Wayne Jackson has been an English teacher at Teikyo University Kani Elementary School for the past eight years. He previously served as an AET for many years across various cities and towns in Gifu and Aichi.
