Invitation to the CEFR-LP SIG Roundtable Series 2025
Open to All Interested in Action Research

The CEFR-LP SIG is pleased to announce the launch of the Roundtable Series 2025—a collaborative forum designed for CEFR-LP SIG members and anyone interested in Action Research. These sessions aim to foster meaningful dialogue around current teaching practices and explore practical interventions for improvement.

Whether you’re a teacher, practitioner, or practitioner-researcher, the Roundtable offers a supportive space to share experiences, reflect on challenges, and develop actionable strategies for enhancing your educational practice.

• Time: 3:00 – 4:30 p.m.

Session Agenda:

1. Introduction to the Roundtable Series
   An overview of the CEFR-LP SIG Roundtable initiative and its connection to the renewed Action Research Kaken project.
2. Participant Introductions
   A chance to get to know each other and share your background and interests.
3. Discussion Topics
   We’ll explore a range of themes, including but not limited to:

• Teaching Methodology: How well do current methods meet learners’ needs?
• Teaching Tools (Online/Offline): Are they accessible and effective for learners?
• Course Content: Does it align with learners’ goals and expectations?
• Instructional Materials: Are they engaging and learner-friendly?
• Language Activities/Tasks: Do they promote active participation and collaboration?
• Classroom Interaction: How effective is communication between teachers and learners, and among peers?
• Collaboration: Do learners understand and engage in meaningful peer collaboration?

We warmly welcome your participation and insights. Whether you’re just beginning your Action Research journey or have experience to share, your voice is valuable.

We will continue the series to offer the opportunity for building a community of practice.

This event series is related to the JSPS Kaken research project 2025-2027 no. 25K04325 on 「CEFRの教育理念を学び、教育実践に取り入れるためのアクションリサーチモデル」 Action research model for learning and incorporating CEFR educational principles into educational practice.
