Shizuoka Convention & Arts Centerย โGranshipโ
For JALT2024, we are returning to the Shizuoka Convention & Arts Centerย โGranshipโ in Shizuoka, midway between Nagoya and Tokyo at the foot of Mt. Fuji.
Designed by Pritzker Prize winning architect Isozaki Arata, the Granship is a beautiful and functional modern convention and arts center just minutes from hotels, nightlife, and shopping in the center of the city.

Getting to the Granship from JR Shizuoka Station
Take the Tokaido-Honsen from JR Shizuoka to Higashi-Shizuoka Station (3 minutes, one stop). The Granship is a 5-minute walk from Higashi-Shizuoka Station South Exit. Details (In Japanese) on the Granship Website.
Parking and Accessibility
Parking is regularly ยฅ200 per hour but attendees can get a discount rate of 100 yen/hour. There are four fare adjustment machines (็ฒพ็ฎๆฉ) near the elevator hall on the 1st floor entrance. To get the discount, please settle your payment by using this machine before you leave the building (before heading to the parking lot).
Cars may enter and exit 24 hours a day and there is a maximum fee of ยฅ1,500 for 24 hours. There are 7 spaces dedicated to wheelchair accessibility. Two additional handicap accessible parking spaces are available next to the north central entrance to the building.
