Call For Nominations: 2023 NPO JALT National Elections

I am happy to announce the opening of the nominations period for the election for the Nominations and Elections Committee (NEC) members and the special election for the Director of Program (DoP) and the Director of Conference (DoC). 

The nominations period shall be open from February 25, 2023 to March 20, 2023. Any JALT member in good standing may nominate a JALT member (including themselves) for the positions outlined below. Please submit your nomination using this link:

NEC members election

According to the Bylaws to the JALT Constitution, NEC members are to be elected by electronic ballot by the entire JALT membership in odd numbered years. The following members of the NEC will be elected: an NEC Chair Designate, and two Alternates. As the current NEC Chair, the JALT Bylaws do not allow me to stand for re-election, which is why I will be administering this election.

DoP and DoC election

At the February 2023 JALT Executive Board Meeting an Acting DoP and an Acting DoC were elected. However, the JALT Bylaws stipulate that Directors must be elected by the entire JALT membership, which is why a national election for these two Board of Directors positions will also be held.
