As we wrap up another year, JALT Oita thanks all members for their continued support and engagement. We look forward to another year of inspiring presentations and discussions that foster growth in our field of language education.

We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to Sayaka Saito, who is stepping down as Program Chair after her dedicated service. Her efforts in organizing meaningful events have greatly enriched our chapter.

With this transition comes an opportunity for members to contribute: members are invited to apply or nominate someone for the Program Chair position.

We Are Now Accepting Nominations

Role Overview:

• Event Planning: Create a year-long event schedule (by late January) and organize a variety of engaging, informative events.
• Speaker Coordination: Recruit speakers, communicate event details, and support presenters as they prepare.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the Publicity Chair to ensure events are promoted effectively.
• Time Commitment: Approximately 2–5 hours per month.
