Joe Tomei, the JALT Auditor, resigned from his position on October 1, 2017. At the request of the Board of Directors, Aleda Krause has agreed to be the Acting Auditor in the interim.
Thomas E. Bieri, Director of Public Relations has also announced his resignation, effective December 1, 2017.
Based on procedures outlined in the JALT Constitution and Bylaws for replacing a director or auditor, the National Elections Committee will conduct an election for these positions by polling members attending the upcoming International Conference. Results will be presented at the Ordinary General Meeting, which is open to all members and will take place from 17:40 to 18:40 in Convention Hall 300, Tsukuba International Conference Center, Tsukuba, Ibaraki, Japan.
