The JALT2016 Conference attracts the best EFL teachers from the best academic institutions in Japan. Whether you are an educator seeking to hire or an educator searching for a job, the Job Information Center (JIC) is the best place to meet and find common ground.
Drop by the JIC, located in the EME, to submit a job listing or a rรฉsumรฉ, review the latest openings, meet available candidates, get rรฉsumรฉ feedback from people in the know, gain insight on the EFL job market, or schedule or sign up for an onsite interview. We can help you search for jobs online, charge your laptop or phone, or print an extra copy of your rรฉsumรฉ in a pinch (Wi-Fi hotspot and printer available). There is a space for onsite interviews by recruiters as well. These services are free to all conference attendees.
JIC events include one formal presentation, also listed in the main program: Transforming Your Rรฉsumรฉ into an Academic CV, Michael Parrish and Richard Miller, JIC Co- Coordinators; Sunday, 2:15 PM-2:40 PM, Rm 1205.
At the JIC Booth there will be ongoing informal poster sessions on both Saturday and Sunday; some of the topics include: The Balanced Academic Scorecard, Preparing an Academic Application Package, Preparing a Japanese CV, and Paths to Publication.
We will also host a CV clinic on Saturday and Sunday afternoons, 3:00 PM-4:00 PM (or by appointment). JIC staff and your colleagues will be on hand to share experiences and give advice.
