Granship
For JALT2015, we will be returning to Granship Shizuoka, midway between Nagoya and Tokyo at the foot of Mt. Fuji. Designed by Pritzker Prize winning architect Isozaki Arata, Granship is a beautiful and functional modern convention and arts center just minutes from hotels, nightlife, and shopping in the center of the city.
Getting to Granship from JR Shizuoka Station
Take the Tokaido-Honsen from JR Shizuoka to Higashi-Shizuoka station (3 min., single stop).
Parking and Accessibility
The adjoining parking lot has space for hundreds of cars. Parking is ¥200 per hour. The lot is in operation 8:00-22:00, but cars may exit 24 hours a day.
There are 7 spaces dedicated to wheel chair accessibility. Two additional handicap accessible parking spaces are available next to the north central entrance to the building. Contact Granship if you would like to reserve these spaces at 054-203-5710 (Japanese). Or, contact JALT for assistance.
