I’m the president of the Akita JALT Chapter. JALT to me is one of the best professional development opportunities I’ve ever gotten into. For me, JALT always gives me motivation to continue teaching. When I first got into teaching English in Japan, it was very difficult, but when I came to JALT, I found a totally new world in language teaching. JALT is like a community, like a family.
