What's
the Teacher Education SIG?
A
network of foreign language instructors dedicated to becoming better teachers
and helping others teach more effectively, the Teacher Education
SIG has been active since 1993. Its members teach at universities,
high schools, and language centres both in Japan and other countries and
network in three ways:

Via our newsletter
which examines education and teacher development issues, ideas, and
theories.

Via conferences, weekend workshops, and seminars in Japan.

Through this website and email discussions.

We
strive to maintain open and flexible channels of communication so that
all members may participate in the SIG's decision making process. As volunteers,
we value working creatively together in a spirit of cooperation and mutual
respect.
