In this session we will explore a range of practical techniques for making effective use of movies and television programs in the language classroom, including asking questions that facilitate strategy development; assigning simple tasks to make difficult video accessible; empowering students to use video programs for autonomous learning; preparing for the unpredictable: authentic English vs. textbook English; & making use of additional authentic materials.
