Our group provides support to families who are bringing up children in two or more languages in Japanese contexts. Our newsletter, Bilingual Japan, includes practical information about bilingual parenting, as well as academic and theoretical issues. We also publish an annual journal and monograph and hold occasional joint events with JALT chapters. The SIG’s annual forum and banquet at the national conference provide an opportunity for members to network with other bilingual families. Further information can be found at www.bsig.org.
