Sendai JALT Chapter

Sendai JALT usually meets on the last Sunday afternoon of every month. Meetings are held in Sendai's city center, and are followed by drinks and eats. Presentations cover topics from the practical to the theoretical, and are aimed at language teachers across the educational spectrum.

The next meeting for the Sendai Chapter is on Sunday, May 25th, 2008 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM.

Dynamic Presentations

Mike Hood

This presentation/workshop examines the difficulties Japanese students face as they attempt to make presentations in English. The aim is to equip teachers with knowledge and tools to better assist their students.

Though the textbook Dynamic Presentations is offered as one model, session participants will collaborate to solve to context-specific problems.

Mike Hood is a lecturer at Nihon University, College of Commerce.
