Learner Development JALT SIG Announcements

Purchase AUTONOMY YOU ASK! today at...

AYA! or Autonomy You Ask (November 2003) is the first in a series of anthologies from Japan-based teachers working to foster learner autonomy in their classrooms and to integrate learning-centered teaching practices into policy discussions and curriculum reform programs in their respective institutions.

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

The Anthology has been a collaborative project from the outset and also includes critical responses by members of the project team, and reflective readings from leading authorities and practitioners in the field from around the world.

The LD-SIG's second anthology, MAYA (2006), is also currently available for online purchase. Please see the SIG Publications site.

Call For Papers in Learning Learning

Do you have ideas about learner autonomy? Have you considered autonomy and learner development in a systematic way? Would you like to share your stories of how YOU developed your own learning skills? Why not write up your ideas or experiences for Learning Learning. If you are interested in documenting your experiences or the research you do in the classroom as part of your teaching, please contact the editors, Alison Stewart or Kay Irie.

Submissions are accepted on an ongoing basis for our Spring and Fall Journals.
