The Nara JALT chapter is a friendly network of English teachers in the Nara area meeting around once every two months to enjoy professional presentations and share ideas, knowledge and experience related to language teaching. Typically, meetings are held at the Yamamoto Conference Hall or Takemaru Hall (links given below). If you are in the Nara area and you have a professional interest in language teaching, you are most welcome to join any Nara JALT events. All our events are listed on the JALT Events Calendar on this website. Additionally, the Nara JALT network extends online via the Nara JALT Facebook page, Nara JALT blog, and members mailing list. For up-to-date details on all our activities, you are invited to click on the links below, or contact us directly through the Email contact form. We look forward to your participation.

Sunday, 26 February 2017 - 2:00pm - 3:30pm

The annual Nara JALT MyShare event is an opportunity for language teachers to share your own work with a wider audience and gain constructive feedback. With a semi-formal round-table discussion format, MyShare offers equal time for around four or five presenters to outline and discuss one specific language learning activity or idea. Presenters can expect around 20 min, including discussion. PowerPoint-style slides and other materials relating to your activity are welcomed, but not necessary. Those interested in presenting are encouraged to submit a notice of interest via email (address given below). Alternatively, you are most welcome to participate freely as an audience member. Details will be announced through the Nara Chapter blog, FaceBook page, and membership email list.
