The main publication of the Global Issues SIG is its quarterly Global Issues in Language Education Newsletter. Subscriptions cost 1500 yen per year (JALT members) and 2000 yen per year (non-JALT members). Subscription information can be found here. Since 1990, the "Global Issues in Language Education Newsletter" has offered a wealth of information for language teachers on topics ranging from education for international understanding and classroom lessons on world cultures to teaching about such global issues as war and peace, human rights, poverty, hunger, AIDS and the environment.
