    At the beginning of June Kyoto JALT is planning to hold its first ever summer social event at the Gion Hotel beer garden. This will be an opportunity to meet and mix with other members of Kyoto JALT, while enjoying the food, drink and wonderful views from the roof of the Gion Hotel. We will be there from 17:30, when the beer garden opens, until 21:00.

  • Using Corpora in the Classroom

    We are extremely pleased to announce that Laurence Anthony, the developer of the widely used concordance program AntConc, will be giving a workshop titled "Applications of Corpus Linguistics in Language Teaching and Research". In addition, we are planning to include presentations from local teachers or researchers who would like to share their ideas of how they use corpora to help their teaching.
